Gong announces event-triggered agents and Enrich at Celebrate '26
At Celebrate '26 on 30 September, Gong announced Gong Enrich, Agent Builder for custom agents that run on set events, and Deep Mode in Gong Assistant, with automatic agent triggers due later in 2026.
Gong announced new AI features for revenue teams on 30 September 2026 at Celebrate '26, its annual customer conference in Las Vegas. The release, called Mission Callisto, includes Gong Enrich for missing contact and account data, Agent Builder for custom agents that run when set events happen, and Deep Mode, a research agent inside Gong Assistant.
What happened
CEO Amit Bendov also announced Gong Activate, which the company calls the next generation of its Revenue AI. According to Gong's press release, the main new features are:
- Gong Enrich fills in missing account and contact details. Launch partners include Apollo, Findymail, Firmable, Kernel, LeadIQ, Lusha, RocketReach, Wiza, ZeroBounce and ZoomInfo.
- Agent Builder lets teams create custom agents that run automatically when events and conditions they define occur. Teams set the triggers, conditions, steps and actions, or describe the agent in natural language.
- Deep Mode handles the research behind hard business questions inside Gong Assistant.
Gong co-founder and Chief Product Officer Eilon Reshef told SiliconANGLE: "The biggest change is that those agents can now be event-driven rather than relying on someone to manually trigger them." The article's example: when an enterprise deal changes status, an agent reviews the related calls against the company's risk criteria, summarizes its findings and writes next steps to the CRM.
Timing differs by feature. SiliconANGLE reports that Gong Enrich, Deep Mode and expanded dashboards are generally available now. Automatically triggered custom agents and other Assistant updates will roll out later this year. Neither source lists pricing.
Why it matters for GTM teams
Agents that start on their own change who does the work. Instead of a manager remembering to run a deal review, the review runs when the deal changes. Output quality then depends on how well a team writes its triggers and criteria.
Enrich links data quality to AI output. Gong's view is that missing or outdated records limit what its assistant and agents can do. Per SiliconANGLE, customers set the order in which Gong queries their data providers, and if one cannot supply the data, Gong moves to the next. Teams can use existing provider credits and spend Gong Credits to fill gaps. Admins can exclude selected geographies and decide whether new data fills only empty CRM fields or replaces existing values.
There are limits. Reshef said Gong relies on providers' statements about opt-out and suppression, does not independently check each contact's opt-out status, and does not guarantee every data point. Customers remain responsible for how they use the data.
What to do next
- If you use Gong, check what is live in your account. Enrich and Deep Mode are available now. Event-triggered agents come later in 2026.
- Before turning on Enrich, set your provider order and decide whether new data may overwrite existing CRM values. Test it on a small segment first.
- Check enriched contacts against your own suppression and opt-out lists before they enter any sequence.
- Write down two or three recurring workflows, such as a deal stage change, with the trigger, conditions and actions for each, so you have a spec ready when event-driven agents arrive.
