ZoomInfo acquires DoubleO.ai, an AI agent orchestration startup
ZoomInfo has bought DoubleO.ai, a startup founded in 2024 that coordinates teams of AI agents, to run complete go-to-market plays on top of its B2B data. Terms were not disclosed.
ZoomInfo said on 30 September 2026 that it has acquired DoubleO.ai, a startup that builds software to coordinate teams of AI agents. ZoomInfo did not disclose the price or any other financial terms. It plans to use the technology to run complete go-to-market plays on top of its B2B data.
What happened
ZoomInfo, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker GTM, announced the deal in a press release dated 30 September 2026. It describes DoubleO.ai as an agentic orchestration platform built to help teams create reliable, multi-agent automation.
Derek Osgood and Karthik Suresh founded DoubleO.ai in 2024. The pair previously started Ignition in 2021, a GTM operations platform later acquired by Klue. ZoomInfo says DoubleO.ai's technology already runs GTM workflows at Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing software firms.
The release gives two example plays. In the first, agents notice when a champion changes jobs, check whether the new company is a customer or fits the ideal customer profile, map the buying committee, and reach out. In the second, agents review a closed-won deal to learn why the customer bought, draft a case study, find 10 competitors of that customer that are not yet customers, and contact each one.
ZoomInfo says it contributes data on more than 100 million companies, 500 million contacts and billions of signals. DestinationCRM also reported that terms were not disclosed. A day later, on 1 October, ZoomInfo said the DoubleO.ai technology now powers a feature called Agent Teams in its GTM Studio product, with no new SKU or contract required.
Why it matters for GTM teams
This is a B2B data vendor buying the layer that acts on its data. ZoomInfo is betting that buyers will pay for agents that take that data and run multi-step outreach without a person checking every step.
The deal targets a problem ZoomInfo says is common. Its release says agents often hallucinate or run a task differently each time, so companies end up with demos nobody trusts in production. ZoomInfo CEO Henry Schuck said of AI agent demos: "Almost none have seen it actually run a real GTM motion end-to-end."
ZoomInfo's own pitch is that GTM stacks are split across tools, with enrichment in one and sequencing in another. If the data vendor bundles agents that work across those steps, some separate contracts may be harder to justify at renewal.
What to do next
- If you are a ZoomInfo customer, ask your account team how Agent Teams usage counts against your current contract. The release says no new SKU or contract is needed, but it says nothing about usage limits or credits.
- Before any agent sends outreach for you, set up approval steps. ZoomInfo lists approval steps among the Agent Teams capabilities in its release notes.
- If you pay for a separate job-change or champion-tracking tool, compare it with the ZoomInfo version before your next renewal.
- Watch what happens to DoubleO.ai as a standalone product. The release does not say whether existing DoubleO.ai customers keep their current contracts.
